In the fall of 2003, SWTE was formed by Andrew Smigielski, PE, PTOE, PTP. The objectives of this venture were twofold - the first was to gain a strong market share for SouthWest Traffic Engineering. This required the company to incorporate their solid office management team and dedicate a strong push into the target market for Traffic Engineering services. The second objective was to become a leader in Traffic Engineering Design and Planning services within the Southwest. This goal requires the same efficient office management along with offering and supplying quality customer service and Traffic Engineering services, which do not conflict with a potential client’s own services.

When SWTE began, we had one client and a plan: offer high quality Traffic Engineering services from engineers trained in, and responsible for, Traffic Engineering projects. seven years, two hundred twenty-five projects and over sixty clients later, SWTE has become a leader in providing complete Traffic Engineering Planning/Study and Design services in Arizona.
